When the night falls over the land
and the moon forgets to shine.
Then a storm arrives with thunder and lightening.
And the birds are silent
and the winds are low
and the people are sleeping
and they don't know
that there is danger outside their homes,
that their lifes will change this night.
A man is standing on a grave
and he is crying in deepest pain,
'cause he knows that it's his fauls, that hope will die this night.
And the enemy troops are coming, while the rebels sleep in peace.
They are coming to destroy the last hope for justice.
And they set fire to the homes of several families.
No-one can escape from the fingers of death.
And the sounds of pain and fear
find a way to the man's ear.
His heart breaks in pieces
and he screams up to the sky.
"Why, why, why
Why is this life so unfair?
Why are there rich and are there poor?
Why are there those who have no rights and
why does the others make the rules?
Isn't one life the same as the other?
Why can't we see the truth?
The enemy could be a brother
and this world could be a place of peace.
If we just forget our hate and
try to live a peaceful life.
If we accept each one how he is or how she is.
If we spring over our shadows.
Why can't this life be so easy?
Why are there stones in our way?
Why do we kill although we know it isn't right?
Why is there no-one who can help?"
And as the man's voice falls silent,
the sun breaks through the clouds.
The nightmare is over, the enemies are gone
and the village is quiet and the birds begin to sing,
but the man's heart is heavy.
It is his fault that they win.
Then the winds begin to blow and a thought comes to his mind.
He goes down to bury those who he betrayed.
But as he comes to the coast, he finds a woman who is dying
and in her arms lies a little baby girl.
And she says: "Take care of her and give her love.
Tell her that I wont forget her.
Teach her that revenge isn't the right path.
Life is the only thing that matters."
With these words she dies and the girl is alone.
There is only one who can save her life.
And he doesn't hesitate. He takes the girl into his arms.
When she laughs he knows that this is his way to forgiveness.
But, why is this world so unfair?
Why does a mother have to die?
What have we done that we are punished like that?
What can we do to change this life?
To make the world to a place of peace
